The Mu of DKE Foundation Scholarships are awarded to undergraduate students and alumni of Colgate University. These scholarships are named in honor of Mu of Delta Kappa Epsilon, Colgate University’s oldest fraternity and total more than $200,000 since 2015.

During Mu’s Annual Scholarship Awards at the Yale Club in February 2024, a $2,000,000 scholarship fundraising campaign was announced with a goal of securing ten $200,000 named endowed scholarships. The ultimate goal is to have a scholarship endowment that will sustain awarding around $100,000 annually in undergraduate scholarships.

Over $150,000 has been committed towards the first of these ten scholarships, The Ellis-Talling Award, named in memory of Brothers Lane Ellis and Greg Talling from the Class of 2005 (146).

If you would like to endow a named scholarship (either by yourself or with a group of brothers) or contribute what you can towards the general scholarship fund, please reach out to sfitzmichaeld@msn.com to learn more.

Three types of scholarship awards are available: 1) Merit Scholarships for academic excellence; 2) Community Project Scholarships for educational programing and philanthropic and civic engagement in Central New York; and 3) Greek Financial Aid Scholarships to help Colgate University undergraduates defray the costs of joining recognized Greek organizations.
